Default Shorten Download Time on new Computer

Hey All

I was just wondering something. i bought me a new computer and am going to install GW on it. Can i copy the GW.Dat file from my old computer onto a flash drive and insert it into new computers GW files? this would shorten the download time on the -image deal i think.

Has anyone tried this? if so let me know if it works or not

Thank you all and have Fun

well, yes.

If your flash drive is big enough. Usually the gw.dat file is about 2gigs.
If you are able to do that, you'll save yourself the need for downloading everytihing again.

Use a 4GB flash drive. If the .dat doesn't fit on that, you've got a bloated .dat and need to replace it anyway
